Latest Adventures

Since it started to get cold outside we've started to take Arthur to the indoor play structure down the street about once a week. He loves it there and has a lot of fun getting his wiggles out.

Arthur has started to really love snuggling with Daddy lately and taking naps with him as well. Arthur wanted Camilla to join in on the fun as well and she liked it for about two minutes. There's also a video of Arthur and Tim taking a nap on the couch. The one snoring is Arthur. :)

Last week I took Arthur and Camilla to the Appaloosa Museum for a play group activity with some of the sisters in my ward. They have a little kid area there that had so many options to keep the kids entertained. Camilla was pretty content to sit in the stroller and just watch everyone. Arthur, however, did not want to sit still for a minute, unless he was on the little rocking horse. He had so much fun playing with his friends and all the toys. He even got a sticker, which he loved! They had some cowboy hats, vests, boots, etc for the kids to put on but Arthur wouldn't let me do more than put the hat on and I was just able to snap the one picture before it was off again. He was too interested in all the other things to do. I think I'll have to take them back again soon, hopefully with Tim, as he would probably have about as much fun as Arthur!

Arthur can make Camilla giggle like no one else can. She will just laugh and laugh at him. It is really fun to watch them interact with each other.

Arthur wanted to snuggle with his sister and she actually really loved it until he started kissing her too much. She doesn't like when Arthur gives wet kisses, especially over her eye and nose!

Arthur decided it would be fun to try on my shoes and walk around. He was only able to get one on at a time and could only walk so far before he fell down or the shoe came off. He had fun while it lasted.

Wednesday night there was a Christmas parade here in town so I bundled up the kids and went. At first he wasn't too sure about it because the first part of the parade were the police cars and fire trucks. He didn't like the loud horns and sirens until I pointed out the lights on them and then he was fine. Arthur loved all the lights though. Most of all he loved the new toys he received and all the candy! He got a little football and a blow up airplane hat and now they are some of his favorite toys.

Just Arthur

Arthur asking for some more hot cocoa. It's a new favorite of his. He's learned to say cocoa, at least in his own little way.

Arthur got an Indiana Jones hat from Grandma Lisa and Grandpa Lee. Tim has taught him to sing the theme song while he runs around in the hat.

A Job, Halloween, Snow, Thanksgiving, etc.

Last month Tim went out to Denver to interview with various accounting firms in order to find a job and he was gone for a whole week. It was a hard week for me to get through with the kids and to still get all of my school work done. The kids were happy to have Tim come home but not near as much as I was. Oh, and he did find a job. We accepted an offer with CliftonLarsonAllen and Tim starts the job on June 3 so we will be moving right after he graduates in May. We're really excited to be getting so close to graduation and to go on to the career.

We drove to Spokane to pick him up after he was finished in Denver. On the way there Arthur did really well just watching out the window and playing with the few toys I brought for him. Camilla slept until the moment I pulled into the airport then she was ready to get out. She went through spurts of being fine and then started to cry again. Then she was all smiles when she saw Tim. Arthur kept saying "da" over and over again. He was thrilled to have Tim home.

For Halloween Tim and I went as zookeepers, Arthur was an elephant, and Camilla was a butterfly. We also had Arthur carry his stuffed monkey and Camilla had her snake rattle. Arthur had a lot of fun going trunk-or-treating and loved eating the candy even more after that night.

When Tim and I went to vote a guy from the local newspaper caught a picture of us. We think it's a pretty cool picture...too bad Arthur was in his stroller and wasn't in the picture too!

Arthur was talking on the phone to Grandma Lisa and Grandpa Lee. He loves the phone and if you catch him at the right time he will just talk and talk.

Arthur came down with the flu for the first time a couple of weeks ago and then Tim and I got it. At least Camilla didn't get sick and it was just a 24-hour bug. We have a robe that my sister gave us and Arthur became very attached to it while he was sick. Tim thought he looked like a little jedi with his hood up.

While I was taking a shower one morning Arthur became frustrated that he couldn't get in the bathroom. He ended up down on the floor to look under the door. Tim found him like this fast asleep. If you look you can see he had his fingers sticking under the door.

This was just before we went outside for Arthur to actually play in the snow for the first time. Last year he didn't have much interest. He isn't too sure about touching the snow but he likes to look at it. He really wanted to swing while we were playing outside but he didn't put his leg in the right hole and ended up getting stuck. He smiled at first but then got really mad because he couldn't move.

Arthur fell fast asleep while cuddling with Tim. He was so tired but didn't want to go to his room for his nap.

This little giraffe outfit came from my brother and we wanted to dress Camilla up in it. The hat was too small but it still worked, at least for a few pictures.

While we were making dinner for Thanksgiving Arthur fell asleep on the floor.
