Last month Tim went out to Denver to interview with various accounting firms in order to find a job and he was gone for a whole week. It was a hard week for me to get through with the kids and to still get all of my school work done. The kids were happy to have Tim come home but not near as much as I was. Oh, and he did find a job. We accepted an offer with CliftonLarsonAllen and Tim starts the job on June 3 so we will be moving right after he graduates in May. We're really excited to be getting so close to graduation and to go on to the career.
We drove to Spokane to pick him up after he was finished in Denver. On the way there Arthur did really well just watching out the window and playing with the few toys I brought for him. Camilla slept until the moment I pulled into the airport then she was ready to get out. She went through spurts of being fine and then started to cry again. Then she was all smiles when she saw Tim. Arthur kept saying "da" over and over again. He was thrilled to have Tim home.
For Halloween Tim and I went as zookeepers, Arthur was an elephant, and Camilla was a butterfly. We also had Arthur carry his stuffed monkey and Camilla had her snake rattle. Arthur had a lot of fun going trunk-or-treating and loved eating the candy even more after that night.
When Tim and I went to vote a guy from the local newspaper caught a picture of us. We think it's a pretty cool picture...too bad Arthur was in his stroller and wasn't in the picture too!
Arthur was talking on the phone to Grandma Lisa and Grandpa Lee. He loves the phone and if you catch him at the right time he will just talk and talk.
Arthur came down with the flu for the first time a couple of weeks ago and then Tim and I got it. At least Camilla didn't get sick and it was just a 24-hour bug. We have a robe that my sister gave us and Arthur became very attached to it while he was sick. Tim thought he looked like a little jedi with his hood up.
While I was taking a shower one morning Arthur became frustrated that he couldn't get in the bathroom. He ended up down on the floor to look under the door. Tim found him like this fast asleep. If you look you can see he had his fingers sticking under the door.
This was just before we went outside for Arthur to actually play in the snow for the first time. Last year he didn't have much interest. He isn't too sure about touching the snow but he likes to look at it. He really wanted to swing while we were playing outside but he didn't put his leg in the right hole and ended up getting stuck. He smiled at first but then got really mad because he couldn't move.
Arthur fell fast asleep while cuddling with Tim. He was so tired but didn't want to go to his room for his nap.
This little giraffe outfit came from my brother and we wanted to dress Camilla up in it. The hat was too small but it still worked, at least for a few pictures.
While we were making dinner for Thanksgiving Arthur fell asleep on the floor.
