Trip to Rexburg and Cassie's Graduation

Last weekend we took a little trip down to Rexburg for my graduation. I finally completely my bachelor's degree and we felt it would be worth it for me to have the opportunity to walk. Back when we left Rexburg after Tim's graduation we made the decision not to worry about going back for mine but the closer it got the more we felt like I needed to do it. I'm so grateful we did too because I actually feel done and it was a wonderful weekend with friends and family. We drove down on Wednesday afternoon and got into Idaho Falls late that night. It was a long drive but luckily the children did really well and slept a lot. Poor Arthur got sick just before we left and we had to make a couple of stops to clean him up and change his clothes as he kept throwing up.
Thursday we drove over to Chick-fil-A for breakfast and went to visit Bob, the wonderful man who Tim did his internship with last Winter. We then drove into Rexburg and went to the temple to do some sealings while Tim's sister, Megan, watched the children. The temple was the perfect way to start our weekend and we really enjoyed our time there. We then went and picked up the kids before heading onto campus to visit with some of our teachers. It was a wonderful day. For dinner that night we drove back into Idaho Falls and met up with two of the men Tim served with in the singles ward bishopric last year in Rexburg. We ended up going to Olive Garden and had a great time catching up with these two wonderful men who have influenced us and helped in improving our marriage. Arthur was so tired from the trip and being sick that he feel asleep on Tim within minutes of sitting down. Poor boy. I felt so bad for him. He was a real trooper though and he got over it very quickly.

Friday we went back into Rexburg and just spent some time with friends before walking around campus some more. We then met up with most of the accounting faculty for lunch. It was a really good time to visit with them and to see them all again. After lunch we went to visit with my roommate from my very first semester at BYU-Idaho and her husband. She was also walking for graduation and so we were able to sit next to each other for commencement. It was wonderful being able to end our time at the university together after we had been able to start with each other as well. After visiting with them for a bit we left to grab some early dinner, more snack than anything, before heading back to campus to get ready for the commencement ceremonies. Commencement and convocation were both amazing and so uplifting. The entire evening was wonderful.

After convocation both children wanted me and Arthur was not happy when Camilla got to come to me and he did not. Don't worry he had plenty of time with me after we left campus.

Saturday we spent much of the day with friends. We met up with one couple for breakfast in Idaho Falls and then spent some time with another couple when we got to Rexburg. By mid-afternoon we knew we needed to get going so we could start driving back to Moscow. We did one more drive through of campus and took a few pictures as we went around.

This one is next to the dorm I stayed in during my first semester there.

Tim next to the sign with the Smith building behind. That's where he spent most of his time on campus.

On the drive. This was taken not long before we stopped for the night. It started snowing pretty hard just before we hit Missoula. Just after I took this picture he woke up screaming and so did Camilla. We decided with the snow and how upset they both were we should stop and spend the rest of the night in a hotel. It was good we did because the pass through the mountains was pretty snowy the next morning still but I would have hated driving through it in the middle of the night.

This was the next morning just after we left Missoula. I love how he falls asleep like this. He was obviously pretty tired.

We took a break in St. Regis. It's a small town in the mountains between Missoula and Coeur d'Alene. Camilla and Arthur loved the horse, even without it moving. We didn't actually put any money into it but they didn't know the difference and still loved it.

Arthur found the rocks! He really wanted to get some but we left them all behind.

This rest stop has an awesome gift shop but it also has really amazing ice cream. I was really wanting a huckleberry milkshake and, of course, Arthur wanted some and then wouldn't give it back. I then had to buy him his own in order for me to be able to have mine. He drank almost his entire shake too! I was amazed at how much he loved it. I can't blame him, it was really good!

The entire weekend was wonderful and a much needed break. It felt good to get out of Moscow for a few days and it was fun to see so many friends. I'm so glad we decided to go to my graduation!

Easter

All of these pictures are from Easter weekend and the couple of days leading up to it. On Wednesday of that week we had a play group with some friends where we did a small egg hunt for the kids. Arthur was so confused at first and wan't sure what to do. After finding two eggs he started to get the hang of it and realized what he was supposed to do. He was quite funny to watch.

I love Camilla's face in this picture! She was pretty confused as to what was going on as well.

After the egg hunt Camilla started playing with some toys and she was waving this all over the place. It looked like she was sword fighting.

This is Arthur's Easter basket that he woke up to on Saturday morning. I made his basket out of an old baby wipes container and the stick from the balloon Arthur had gotten at Old Navy. I then decorated it with some ribbon I had and used hot glue to put it all together. For putting it all together the night before I was pretty amazed at myself. :) Lately he has been big into cars and so he received one for Easter. He was so excited about it and then he started to find the candy. Camilla also got a basket but her's was basically just some head bands and a couple of eggs. She loved it too.

Camilla loved shaking the eggs and hearing them rattle. She was thrilled with her basket.

Arthur meeting the Easter bunny. We didn't any good pictures of him with the bunny but we did get some of Arthur going to him for candy. He loved that part of it.

Camilla was fine with the bunny so long as I was holding her. She loved the feel of the fur and was completely enthralled.

After meeting the Easter bunny we went to the driving range for Tim to hit some golf balls. Camilla loved crawling around on the grass and playing with the balls that she dumped out of the basket.

Arthur was trying so hard to be like Tim and took one of the clubs to hit balls of his own. His only went a couple of inches, if they moved at all.

Tim then tried to show him how to hold the club and Arthur was so excited to have the opportunity to feel like such a big kid.

Camilla was tired after a long day of playing hard.

Camilla on Easter Sunday. She still fits in her blessing dress. Just goes to show how small my children are. She loved the sound the dress made so she was continually grabbing fistfuls and rubbing them together  It was adorable to see how happy she got from something so simple.
